Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR)

Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) is a highly ranked, international research university, based in the dynamic and diverse city of Rotterdam. It has been in existence in its present form since 1973. Its history, however, dates back to 1913, the year in which the Netherlands School of Commerce (Nederlandsche Handels-Hoogeschool, NHH) was founded through private initiative with broad support from the Rotterdam business community. The mission of the EUR is to create a positive impact on societal challenges.

The EUR is one the biggest universities of the Netherlands with a student population of 29,000 a research community of circa 1,400 scholars and seven faculties. The EUR is the largest Business- and Economics University in the Netherlands, comprising two faculties: the Erasmus School of Economics (ESE) and the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). ERIM and the Tinbergen institute are internationally renowned research institutes.


The Erasmus University Library

The creation and dissemination of knowledge are at the heart of the University’s activities. The University Library supports researchers and students to excel in creating and disseminating knowledge and acts as the university’s content manager.


The Erasmus Data Service Centre (EDSC)

The EDSC provides access to a large portfolio of financial databases and supports students and staff to make optimal use of all data sources. The mission of the EDSC is to provide excellent research data support for researchers, teachers and students throughout the data lifecycle.
