American University of Nigeria: Department of Digital Services

AUN the American University of Nigeria (AUN) was established in 2003 by Nigeria's former Vice President His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar along with other local and international statesmen and academic leaders.

The AUN Library, today Department of Digital Services, was established in the summer of 2005 to serve the University’s students, faculty, staff and visitors. Since then, the library has been expanded and has extended its services. More than 99.9% of the library collection is electronic and accessible to the AUN community 24/7 via the internet both on campus and off campus.

The AUN Library is recipient of "Excelence Service Award for the Best Digital Library Services" in Nigeria in 2012 from Committee of University Librarians of Nigerian Universities. In July 2013 it received American Library Association Presidential Citation for "Innovative International Library Projects".
