Deglobalization, greenwashing, linkage effect – research topics in economics are constantly changing. For this reason, we regularly revise and update our subject vocabulary, the STW Thesaurus for Economics. This way, you can always use the most up-to-date subject terms for your search in EconBiz. In addition to many new concepts, we have also added numerous German and English synonyms to the existing concepts.
The thesaurus helps you to find terms related to your topic. Use the STW, for instance to rephrase your search to make it more general using broader terms, or to specify it with the help of narrower terms. In addition, the STW automatically adds translations and synonyms to your search terms. A search for "knowledge economy" thus also finds publications on "information economy".
Since version 9.12, the STW is available for download under the CC-BY 4.0 license, so that it can be reused by other organizations worldwide.
