Nemzetgazdasági ágazatok besorolása Upstream, gyártási és downstream ágazatcsoportokba - Classification of sectors of the national economy into Upstream, Manufacturing and Downstream sector groups

Ahogyan egy vállalat sem értékelhető működési környezetéből teljesen kiragadva, úgy egy nemzet teljes gazdasági szerkezetének vizsgálatakor is fontos az egyes ágazatok input-output kontextusban történő vizsgálata. A gazdasági ágazatok az ellátási láncban elfoglalt pozíciójuk alapján három csoportba oszthatóak. Az ellátási lánc elején elhelyezkedő ágazatok Upstream (U), az ellátási lánc végén elhelyezkedő ágazatok Downstream (D), a kettő között lévő ágazatok pedig Gyártási/ Manufacturing (M) kategóriába sorolhatók. A tanulmány 44 ország ágazatainak ilyen módon történő elemzésének eredményei alapján készült el, kiemelt figyelmet fordítva a Visegrádi országok gazdaságaira. Ez az írás azt foglalja össze, hogy az egyes csoportokban milyen törvényszerűségek figyelhetőek meg, és jellemzően milyen stratégiai irányvonalakat követve fejlesztették az ágazatcsoportjaikat a fejlett és fejlődő országok 2000 és 2014 között. A vizsgálat során megállapításra került, hogy jellemzően az ellátási lánc közepén tevékenykedő vállalatok dolgoznak a legkisebb hozzáadott érték tartalommal. Az U-M-D ágazatok hozzáadott értékének feltüntetésével a fejlődés előrehaladtával az úgy nevezett smile curve (mosoly görbe) rajzolódik ki. A legkisebb hatékonyság ellenére számos ország a gyártási ágazatait fejleszti legnagyobb arányban, ami felveti a közepes jövedelmi csapda kérdését, amely a tanulmányban szintén kifejtésre kerül. --- Just as no company can be assessed completely without the examination of its operating environment, it is important to analyse each sector in an input-output context when evaluating the overall economic structure of a nation. Economic sectors can be divided into three groups based on their position in the supply chain. Sectors at the beginning of the supply chain can be classified as Upstream (U), sectors at the end of the supply chain as Downstream (D) and sectors between the two as Manufacturing (M). The study is based on the results of an analysis of the sectors of 44 countries, with a special focus on the economies of the Visegrad countries. This paper summarizes the regularities observed in each group and the strategic orientations typically followed by developed and developing countries to form their sector groups between 2000 and 2014. The study found that typically companies in the middle of the supply chain work with the least value-added content. By indicating the added value of the U-M-D sectors, as a function of development a so-called smile curve emerges. Despite the least efficiency, many countries are developing their manufacturing sectors at the highest rate, which raises the issue of the middle-income trap, which is also addressed in the study.
