The Augmented Socio-Economic Progress Index : Measuring Development Across Indian States

There does not, in status quo, exist a unified measure of development adequately representing the multiple dimensions of progress of a Society. In this project, we present the ASEPI, whose disaggregated components represent individual dimensions of Socio-Economic Progress. Computing the ASEPI's Dimensional Indices, we compare the level of development in 19 States of India. We go on to present an analysis of the current status and the Policy Frameworks underlying the top performing States of India, as measured by the ASEPI
