The Correlation between CSR and Sustainable Development Goals
CSR and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can give a powerful model for sustainable growth when used together. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) offer a structure that may be utilised by governmental entities, corporations, civil society organisations, and individual people. There is a lot of pressure on large firms to drive change through their corporate social responsibility plans, despite the fact that participation from each sector is essential for accomplishing these goals. Corporate Social ResponsibilityThe concept of "Corporate Social Responsibility" (CSR) refers to the social and environmental projects that an organisation integrates into its "business operations and interactions with its stakeholders" in order to create a more sustainable future. It is a concept in business management in which companies give considerable thought to the morals and ethics of their respective industries, as well as the question of how they can achieve sustainable growth while also making a positive contribution to the communities in which they operate and the natural environments in which they operate.Donating money to charitable organisations or selecting a "charity of the year" to provide support for is a fundamental form of corporate social responsibility that is practised by many businesses. Despite the fact that this has some short-term advantages, we must recognise the difference between philanthropic giving and strategic CSR, the latter of which has an effect on the well-being of society and the environment over the longer term.Sustainable Development Goals: The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by the year 2030, all people enjoy peace and prosperity. These goals are also known as the Global Goals. Countries have agreed to make catching up with those who are the most far behind a priority in their development efforts. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are aimed at putting an end to issues such as poverty, hunger, AIDS, and discrimination against women and girls
